While many people flocked to their homes this week to avoid the rapidly spreading Omicron variant, hundreds of 6ix9ine fans gathered at an arena in Miami, Florida to watch him perform live. A video uploaded to DJ Akademiks’ Instagram page shows a sold-out crowd loudly cheering on the controversial hitmaker as he performs.

The rapper has reportedly performed at Miami Bash, also known as Miami’s biggest Latin concert, which has featured Ozuna, Prince Royce, Arcangel, Natti Natasha and Nio Garcia. He entered the stage as a surprise, where he DUMMY BOY press, “BEBE.”

While Ak’s clip shows how the public feels about the show, several Twitter users have reported that the New Yorker was booed by the public. “6ix9ine is in Miami Bash and he’s so bad I’m ashamed secondhand,” one wrote. “[People] walk out and use it as a break in the bathroom.

“The crowd cheered 6ix9ine as he stepped off the stage in Miami Bash,” another added. When someone wondered why their story was different from what can be seen on video footage, they replied: “I mean, I was at the concert and nobody was excited. [because] it was a ‘surprise’.’ They later added, “as soon as the lights went out, everyone was screaming. And not many people were singing lol.”

It remains unclear exactly what conditions were like in Miami Bash during the “FEFE” rapper’s performance, but he seems to be slowly making his way back to the stage after a few messy years in and out of the spotlight.

6ix9ine himself hasn’t posted anything about the show on his own Instagram page – in fact, he doesn’t seem to be on the grid since earlier this year, but only occasionally shows up for special moments like his girlfriend’s birthday, where he spoiled her with three beautiful Birkin bags; read more about this.
