As expected, AC Milan has registered a few more Covid-19 cases after two positive tests earlier this week. The club announced this late tonight.
The wave of Covid-19 has created a chaotic situation for Serie A as the league has ordered matches to go ahead, while local authorities have ordered some teams to isolate themselves. This is a reality that could play a role at Milan.
The Rossoneri will face Roma tomorrow and in three days five players have tested positive for Covid-19. Ciprian Tatarusanu was the first, then Samu Castillejo (rumor) and people like Davide Calabria, Fikayo Tomori and Alessio Romagnoli (rumor).
The three new cases were confirmed by Milan on their official website tonight via a statement, which you can read below.
AC Milan can confirm that three players have tested positive for COVID-19 following tests conducted on the squad today.
As soon as more is known, the text will be updated. As things stand, Pierre Kalulu and Matteo Gabbia will be central defenders for Milan tomorrow, should the match go ahead.
