Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry has cooked up early this season, dropping a cool 50 points against the Atlanta Hawks in their final game. Warriors veteran Andre Iguodala, who has played with Curry for years, was once again on the front row on the two-time MVP’s final scoring attack.
After that, Iguodala took to Twitter to compliment Curry, while also appearing to lash out at WNBA fans.
#30 / #Thirty is really a lot of fun! (We call it 30 BTW….)

A little confused? Last year, Iguodala complimented then-Washington Mystics security guard Aerial Powers after an impressive outing. However, the Warriors attacker just mentioned her number on his tweet and did not mention her name. Powers objected, calling out the former NBA Finals MVP for not “respecting” her name.
Put some respect on my name or keep this tweet to yourself!! https://t.co/xFtU8f7KWp

As expected, numerous WNBA fans sided with Powers, who is now with the Minnesota Lynx, calling out Iguodala for his perceived disrespect. However, the high-flying wingman refused to apologize and simply brushed off the criticism.
It seems clear that Iguodala has not forgotten the incident. He’s always been one of the smartest guys in the NBA, and his veiled shot at WNBA fans (or maybe even Powers himself) was pretty smart, to be honest.
Curry has indeed been very kind to the Warriors and led the team to an NBA best 9-1 win-lose slate. He’s had a lot of help from Andre Iguodala, Jordan Poole, Draymond Green and Andrew Wiggins, but there’s no denying that the sniper guard has been on another level.
The Warriors take on the not-so-nice Minnesota Timberwolves next Wednesday.
