Arteta reveals “always open door” for former Arsenal star to return

Arteta reveals “always open door” for the former Arsenal star to return to the Premier League team.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has revealed that the “door is always open” for former Gunner star Jack Wilshere, who hopes to return to training with his former club.

The 29-year-old has been unable to find a new club since leaving Bournemouth at the end of last season. Wilshere recently spent a season training with Serie B team Como.

Wilshere broke through the ranks of Arsenal and made 197 first-team appearances between 2008 and left a decade later.

He won two FA Cups at the Emirates Stadium, where he also became a fan favorite.

During his time with the Gunners he played alongside Arteta in Arsene Wenger’s midfield and the current Arsenal manager appeared to offer an invitation to his former teammate.

When asked if Wilshere could train at his London Colney base, Arteta replied: “He is someone I know I shared the locker room with, who is so beloved at the club with all the people here and our doors are always open.” .

Arsenal are currently last in the Premier League table after losing their first three games without scoring.

Norwich is welcomed, similarly without a point from their matches so far, at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday and Arteta admits it is an early match that is a “must win” for his team.

“It is always (must win) at Arsenal and the pressure is always there to be as high as possible in that league table,” he said.

We need the first win, we are going to play in front of our fans after a disappointing start. So it’s up to us to provide everything we have in terms of performance to get the result we want in the end. “

Having spent more than any of his Premier League rivals during the transfer window, Arteta should now be able to call in most of his first team stars against the Canaries.
