Natus Vincere (NAVI) has finally won a CS: GO Major after participating in all the previous 16 Major tournaments and writing history along the way by going undefeated on their way to lifting the trophy. It was none other than Kirill who led this team “Boombl4” Mikhaylov, who was not only shotcaller for the side, but also played a strong game with the rifle.
Boombl4’s mother Olesya Mikhaylov was proud of what he has achieved and congratulated the entire NAVI team for winning the PGL Major Stockholm 2021, while also talking about her son’s love for the Valve shooter. In an interview with the Russian outlet iz.ru., she revealed how Boombl4 became addicted to the game at a young age and talked about the effort required to achieve serious success.
Boombl4’s mother talks about how he started playing CS: GO
There was a time when the current Major-Champion, whom the community now refers to as, Lord Boombl4, was a regular player who was hooked to CS: GO and painted to improve himself. Speaking of those times, Mikhaylov reveals the love that young Boombl4 had for the game since he started playing it in his teens.
She went on to reveal that it was not easy to see Boombl4 follow this pattern every day, it used to worry her a lot as she was afraid he might be expelled from his school.
However, nothing of the sort happened as Boombl4 was effective in managing his workload and did not let CS: GO prevent him from doing well in school.
Mikhaylov talked about the hard work required to excel in e-sports, and Mikhaylov shared how Boombl4 used to play CS: GO night and day, which is probably why he is at this stage today.
Boombl4 is the first NAVI leader in the game to win a CS: GO Major for the sports organization. He has marked their name in history as the only team to do so without losing a single card.
It will be interesting to see how NAVI ends their year from here, as a couple of major tournaments are still scheduled to take place.
