She told earlier press party that she didn’t start playing sports until she joined Fifth Harmony. “They brought out a fitness instructor to get us all fit and healthy, and the first time…I remember the first 20 minutes because I’d never exercised before in my life and I literally threw up,” she said.

    Camila now leads a generally active lifestyle, doing things like hiking, paddle boarding and, you know, performing in front of thousands of fans. She also told BBC Radio that she has started to eat better thanks to the influence of her boyfriend, Shawn Mendes. “Shawn influenced me to be healthier,” she said, per Hey. “I was not healthy at all before. I’ve never eaten vegetables. Just like easy vegetables such as cucumbers or cold carrots with Caesar. I wouldn’t say they are hard vegetables.”

    But Camila has an overall healthy mindset about being fit. She went viral on TikTok this summer after she shared a video of herself after going for a run.

    “I was just running in the park and minding my own business, trying to be fit, trying to keep it healthy,” she said in the video. “And I’m wearing a top that shows my belly. And I didn’t put it in there. Because I ran and existed like a normal person who doesn’t always tuck it in. And I was like ‘Damn it.’ But then I reminded myself that war with your body is so last season. I am thankful for this body that lets me do what I need to do. We are real women with curves and cellulite and stretch marks and fat. And we must own that, dear.’
