Choco Mucho falls to the Thais, faces Rebisco in qualifying round

MANILA, Philippines – Team Choco Mucho suffered another loss in straight sets, this time at the hands of the mighty Supreme Chonburi, 25-13, 25-22, 25-21, in the quarterfinals of the Asian Volleyball Club Championship Female on Monday at Terminal 21 Hall In Thailand.

Team Choco Mucho lost their third game in a row, but not after putting on a commendable performance led by Kalei Mau.

Mau finished with 16 points while Mylene Paat added 14.

The defeat relegated Choco Mucho to qualifying from fifth to seventh place where they will face Team Rebisco on Wednesday.

Previously, Rebisco lost to Nakhon Ratchasima QminC, 25-11, 25-19, 25-18, in their quarter-final showdown.

The two Thai teams, Supreme Chonburi and Nakhon Ratchasima QminC, organized a semi-final showdown also on Wednesday.
