Clearly bad luck for Milan, as there have been six operations in six months

Simon Kjaer’s injury has certainly changed the situation at Milan, now looking for a central defender to sign in January. That said, it’s not the only serious injury the Rossoneri have faced of late.

In the past six months, as highlighted by Corriere Della Sera (via MilanNews), there have been six surgeries within the Milan squad. It is clear that Stefano Pioli has not always had the easiest of circumstances during his tenure at the club.

Prior to Kjaer, who was operated on Friday, Davide Calabria, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Mike Maignan and Alessandro Plizzari also had to undergo surgery. Even though recurring injuries are negotiable, this is bad luck.

On Tuesday, Milan will face Liverpool and luckily they have a pretty strong team to rely on. However, Zlatan Ibrahimovic is the only striker available and if he gets injured it will be a crisis.
