The Lions continue to lead the Bears in the first half, but they lost a big offensive piece in the second quarter.
Running Back D’Andre Swift lay down after being tackled by linebacker Roquan Smith on the Bears sidelines. Trainers groomed him on the field and then helped him to the sidelines where they appeared to be watching his right shoulder. Swift eventually went to the locker room.
The Lions moved within the Bears’ 30-yard line for a few plays before getting injured, but got a false start and a penalty on Swift’s play before another false start forced them back into midfield. They lost six more yards when the Bears blew up a pass to run Jamaal Williams back into the backfield and kick the Lions.
That result kept the Lions ahead 7-3 with less than six minutes to go in the first half.
