DJ Plays Travis Scott Song, Crowd Angry Until It Changed

SZA fans didn’t feel like Travis Scott’s music was being played at her recent show in his home state after the tragedies of the Astroworld Festival last weekend.

Video footage began circulating online on Sunday night (Nov. 7) showing SZA supporters cheering during her show at Dallas’ South Side Music Hall as the DJ performed La Flame’s “Sicko Mode” with Drake. In the 12-second clip, the entire audience can be seen with mostly stone-cold faces, while others loudly voiced their disdain for the song. The DJ then switched the song to DJ Khaled’s “Every Chance That I Get” with Lil Baby and Lil Durk, and the mood of the entire crowd changed. The video can be seen at the bottom of this post.

The packed house showing very little love for Travis Scott comes days after the mass accident that happened at the Houston rapper’s Astroworld Festival on Nov. 5. The concert tragically ended with eight deaths and 25 hospitalizations after a huge crowd squeezed those in attendance towards the stage, crushing people and presumed suffocation.

Travis has since released a statement offering prayers and support for the lives lost and those affected by the tragedy. La Flame has also announced that he will cover funeral costs for the eight deceased and has partnered with BetterHelp to provide free online one-on-one therapy to those seeking mental health services after the devastating event.

Additionally, Travis Scott has announced that he will refund all attendees to the Astroworld Festival and has canceled his performance at Day N Vegas this Saturday (November 13). His headliner has been replaced by Post Malone.
