Edmonton Oilers activate Darnell Nurse from injured reserve

The Edmonton Oilers get some huge reinforcements as the team activated defender Darnell Nurse from the injured reserve.

The club announced the move Sunday morning and it is expected he will return to the Oilers lineup as they face the LA Kings.

The rear guard was placed on the injured reserve on Nov. 19 after breaking his finger and blocking a shot. Nurse missed seven games, but the Oilers held strong without going 5-2 and having a +6 goal difference.

Nurse, 26, has appeared in 16 matches this season with 11 assists.
