Forza Horizon 5 is Xbox Game Studios’ biggest launch ever

Xbox boss Phil Spencer has said that Forza Horizon 5 is Xbox Game Studios’ biggest launch ever.

In a tweet, the study leader revealed the successful start of the latest part of the racing series, saying it had enjoyed the biggest launch day for an Xbox Game Studios title ever.

Spencer’s tweet reveals that Forza Horizon 5 has reached 4.5 million players across PC, cloud and console in just a few days. He also noted that since its launch, Forza Horizon 5 has seen a maximum number of players three times higher than its predecessor Forza Horizon 4 – a factor that may be due to the growing popularity of the Xbox Games Pass.

Playground Games’ latest venture into the racing series takes place in a stunning open world of Mexico. In addition to including a number of picturesque scenic routes and breathtaking views, the game also offers a number of vibrant urban areas – and in true Forza Horizon style – a wealth of different terrains to master.

While Forza Horizon 5 has been popular with fans since its release, the game has also received critical acclaim. Critic reviews on Metacritic are currently at 91 and 92 on the PC and Xbox Series X, respectively. In our own Horizon 5 review, we gave the game a 10/10, saying that the game “is the result of a racing study on top of its craftsmanship and the best open-world racing game available. “

While Spencer’s original comments say the company has been investing in the Xbox for years so more people can play games, Forza Horizon 5’s availability capabilities have also been praised for doing the same. Despite already including a number of accessibility features at launch to make the game more inclusive for gamers around the world, the Xbox recently confirmed that more is on the way. A post-launch update to the game is expected to take place that will include an on-screen sign language interpreter with both US Sign Language (ASL) and UK Sign Language (BSL).
