Heavy Rain-like episodic adventure game The Lawyer Gets Debut PC Trailer

Objection, Your Honor! They say a lawyer with a suitcase can steal more than a hundred men with weapons – pretty deep, right? – but if you’ve ever wanted to test that saying, then develop ManyDev Studios‘Recently reported lawsuit murder mystery, The Lawyer, may be just what the lawyer ordered.

Feel free to check out the debut trailer for The Lawyer’s first case below:

As you can see in the footage above, the first episode is dubbed The Red Bathtub and focuses on the strange murder of a young lady whose body has been found dead in one – you guessed it! – bathtub.

Of course, each episode will focus on a separate case for players to unravel. In addition, players must visit the crime scene and gather the evidence, interview the witnesses and most importantly cross-examine the suspects in a courtroom to help get to the bottom of the mystery.

Like Quantic Dreams thriller Heavy Rain from 2010, the presentation seems hyperrealistic, and the overall tone feels very cinematic. In addition, the branching choice-based gameplay also seems very reminiscent of David Cage’s acclaimed action-adventure title.

Unfortunately, there is currently no concrete release date for The Lawyer yet, but a guarded 2022 window has been locked. However, the game is exclusively in the works for PC at the time of writing.
