How to get Mew and Jirachi in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond And Shining Pearl

Mew Jirachi Diamond Pearl

In addition to the legendary Pokémon that will be available in the Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearls post-game, as unveiled by The Pokémon Company earlier today, you will also be able to get your fingers in two Mythical Pokémon.

Both Mew and Jirachi will be available in the game, regardless of which version – Brilliant Diamond or Shining Pearl – you choose to play. To get them, save data from previous Pokémon games on the same Switch system – this is how it works:

Mew

To get Mew in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, save data from Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and let’s go, Eevee! on your system.

Mew Jirachi Diamond Pearl

Jirachi

To get Jirachi in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, save data from Pokémon Sword and Shield on your system.

Mew Jirachi Diamond Pearl

It looks like you’re able to get both Mew and Jirachi on the same saved file as long as you meet the requirements for each of the above. But even if you have saved data for both Sword and Shield, for example, you will still only be able to obtain one Jirachi (and the same goes for Mew).

Nintendo has today confirmed that Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl will receive a pre-launch patch that you will definitely be sure to download.
