Finally, ICC & Star Sports has agreed a broadcast agreement for the MENA region (Middle East and North Africa). Pay TV operator OSN previously held the rights to ICC events in the region until the end of 2023, but the platform was closed in 2019.
Since then, Star Sports has been trying to weave a new partnership and an agreement was finally reached with the UAE-based telecommunications company Etisalat. This means that now fans in the UAE and Oman, along with other countries in the Middle East and North Africa, will be able to watch the matches LIVE in the region.

T20 World Cup LIVE – WC Live in UAE: Etisalat has partnered with video-on-demand subscription service StarzPlay to ensure greater availability in Mena. The agreement is a sublicense agreement between Star TV Network and Etisalat. Star owns ICC’s global communication rights in a $ 2.1 billion deal over eight years, from 2015-16 to 2022-23.

T20 World Cup LIVE Stream: How can fans from UAE and Oman watch the T2O World Cup LIVE?
Viewers in the United Arab Emirates will be able to watch the tournament live on the CricLife Max channel, which is available through Etisalat’s eLife TV package or through its OTT Switch TV service. Fans in the United Arab Emirates can also watch the tournament through the StarzPlay app.
Fans from the rest of the Mena region can watch the T20 World Cup via StarzPlay, which will also broadcast Etisalat’s CricLife and CricLife2 channels.
CricLife Max will show all the matches from the tournament, along with highlights and other coverage. Replays of full matches will be shown on other CricLife channels. StarzPlay has released two packages for fans to watch the tournament. A day pass is available for AED 9.99 ($ 2.72 / € 2.34), while a tournament pass is priced at AED 99.99.
Switch TV packages for viewers in the United Arab Emirates are a day pass for AED 4.99 ($ 1.36 / € 1.17) and a tournament pass for AED 99.99. ELife TV offers a tournament pass for AED249.
This year’s T20 World Cup, comprising 45 matches, will take place from October 17 to November 14 in the United Arab Emirates and Oman.
