In the tragic true story of Chanel West Coast

Chanel wrote a lengthy message in memory of her late friend, expressing fear of her unexpected death. In a particularly heartbreaking section, the MTV star blamed herself for Nicole’s untimely passing.

“Nicole, I’m so sorry I didn’t do more to help you. I’m so sorry I was so busy and consumed with my own life and career that I hadn’t taken the time to talk to you in over a year.” I’ve never been so angry and sad about something I KNOW I could have helped prevent,” she wrote in the long caption.

Chanel continued, “I feel like such a piece of shit for not trying harder to help you with addiction issues and I just don’t know how I’m ever going to get over this.”

The Love and hip hop alum also poured her heart out in a tearful tribute to Nicole on Snapchat, shown below, saying, “I really regret not being a better friend.”

“If you have someone in your life who is struggling with substance abuse issues, do whatever it takes to help them. Get them off the drugs, pill, get them into rehab,” Chanel said through tears. ‘Don’t let them die. Because I let my friend die, and I feel terrible.’
