Inter has accelerated their talks with Sassuolo over the signing of young Italian midfielder Davide Frattesi, according to a report in Italian print media.
As reported by The Gazzetta dello SportInter want to improve the quality of Simone Inzaghi’s midfield for next season.
There are no plans to sign a midfielder in January, although that could change if Stefano Sensi or Matias Vecino leave the club this month.
Davide Frattesi is the player Inter are working hardest to acquire, with talks already underway between the two clubs.
There are two other names of interest to the Inter-executives. They are Giulio Maggiore from Spezia and Samuele Ricci from Empoli.
It is likely that the club will try to sign both Davide Frattesi and one of the other two players mentioned above. There is also always a chance that Inter will make another move for Cagliari’s Nahitan Nandez.
