“He hasn’t assimilated much in yet, but I leave the team in a fantastic space. The guys are playing cricket very well. I want to support them from where I am in the next few days.”

“Once everything is assimilated, I will definitely support the team and I am sure they can go all the way and lift the trophy.”

“I just want to say a huge thank you to all the Chennai Super Kings fans, I loved all of your support in the last two seasons that I have been playing. It won’t be long until I get back to running, bowling and hitting in front of all of you.

“I’ll be back stronger, until then stay safe. Cheers guys,” added the SUV.

Chennai Super Kings have already qualified for the playoffs at IPL 2021 and are currently in second place on the points table. Speaking about Sam Curran’s injury, CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan stated that it is regrettable to miss England’s all-rounder before the end of the tournament.

“It is truly unfortunate that Curran is not available for the remainder of the season due to a low back injury. We wish him a speedy recovery and I am sure he will come out stronger from this. The BCCI has been informed about the injury.”
