KARACHI: New Zealand starter Martin Guptill shared that the decision to cancel the Pakistan tour was very disappointing for him.
Speaking to online media, Guptill said the New Zealand team was looking forward to playing in Pakistan.
“I guess it was disappointing for everyone involved. We were all looking forward to playing cricket and having a little playing time before the World Cup and that was not the case. I know Pakistan is eager to have some cricket in their home country. We all hope that there will be cricket again soon, ”he said.
It should be noted here that New Zealand Cricket canceled the Pakistan tour citing threats to the safety of its team in Rawalpindi. They canceled the tour minutes before the launch of the first ODI.
