Jake Paul feels the effects of boxing matches: ‘I never did that before’

Jake Paul admitted earlier this week that he felt the effects of his boxing matches with four bouts under his belt and a rematch against Tyron Woodley on the roll.

Paul said in an interview on “In Depth With Graham Bensinger” on Tuesday that he suffered from amnesia and slurred speech and said boxing is part of the reason.

“I notice in conversations with, like, my girlfriend or friends, like I don’t remember something I should be able to remember that happened a few days ago,” Paul said.

“Sometimes in my speech, where, like every hundredth or two-hundredth word, I screw up or, like, slur, which I didn’t do before.”

“The doctor told me there’s a lack of blood flow from the concussion I had when I played soccer to certain parts of my brain, including the frontal lobe, which is partial memory,” he said. “After my first year of boxing, I went back and it was worse.”

Paul will face Woodley for the second time on Saturday after Tommy Fury dropped out of the fight for medical reasons. Paul defeated Woodley in the summer via split decision.
