Urban Meyer responds to scandalous viral video: ‘It was stupid’
Joe Haden was called offside in a controversial call that contributed to the Pittsburgh Steelers’ loss to the Green Bay Packers on Sunday.
As if the Pittsburgh Steelers weren’t dealing with enough trouble right now, cornerback Joe Haden was called offside after he blocked a Green Bay Packers field goal attempt that was returned for a touchdown. The Steelers would have entered the half with a 17-14 lead, but instead found themselves behind the Packers, 17-10.
Pittsburgh has had enough trouble scoring so far this season and for safety Minkah Fitzpatrick’s touchdown to be called back, the Steelers can’t really take a break.

Haden, understandably, was not happy about officials calling him offside and thus taking the momentum out of Pittsburgh’s hands.
Joe moved as soon as the ball broke and the umpires were probably so unprepared that they assumed it had to be a penalty. Haden simply made a perfect play that the Steelers so desperately needed, but still found themselves without it.
Pittsburgh’s defense is one of the best in the NFL when healthy, but officials didn’t want to give Joe the satisfaction of a game-changing play. All that’s left is for the Steelers to use the failed decision as fuel to ignite a much-needed spark as they head into Week 5 of the season.
Pittsburgh is now 1-3 on the year and will return to Heinz Field to face the Denver Broncos on Sunday. Haden will have another shot at success for the Steelers, and maybe this time the officials won’t ruin him.
