Kanye West wants to bury the hatchet with drake — inviting him to perform on stage with him in the name of freeing a famous Chicago mobster…all at the behest of one J Prince.
Ye took to social media late Monday night with a video message for Drizzy — in fact, the man is extending an olive branch… and it sounds like this is the work of Prince, the Rap-A-Lot Records honcho, because he was standing right next to Mr. West during the plea for peace.
You can see Kanye read out a statement saying that he wants to bring things back and forth between him and Drake and put it to rest by getting together on December 7 for a benefit concert in honor of Larry Hoover, which will be held in Los Angeles.
If you’re not familiar, Hoover is the former head of a major Chicago gang, the Gangster Disciples, who was convicted of murder in the 1970s and was sentenced to 6 life sentences. Many feel that he has given him more than enough time for his crime — and the likes of Kanye, J Prince and apparently Drake have lobbied for his release.
Kanye talked about Hoover’s plight on his latest album, ‘DONDA’, and now…it looks like J Prince is orchestrating a ceasefire between Ye and Drake (again).
You may remember… JP something similar mediated between the 2 rap giants a few years ago when their beef was at an all-time high, and when? Pusha T was right in the middle of it – revealing the fact that Drake had fathered a son he hadn’t made public.
Time will tell if Drake takes Kanye into this — he seems to be quite fed up with the dude, but then again… maybe he’ll do it to appease his rappe dad. One thing we know for sure is that Drake respects J Prince.
