Kareem Abdul-Jabbar berates LeBron James for his ‘stupid, childish’ party with big balls vs. Pacers: ‘GOATs don’t dance’

In late November, Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James was fined $15,000 by the NBA for breaking out in a provocative dance against the Indiana Pacers.

Apparently, the celebration, made famous by former NBA player Sam Cassell, didn’t sit well with Lakers legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. In a video made for his Substack, the Hall of Famer criticized James for his antics.

“For me, winning is enough,” said Abdul-Jabbar. “Why do you have to do a stupid, childish dance and disrespect the other team on the field? There is no point. GOAT don’t dance.”

This is not the first time this season that Abdul-Jabbar has gone to James. In October, he also reprimanded James for his stance on the COVID-19 vaccine. The 74-year-old does not shy away from criticizing NBA stars for their opinions about the vaccine.

Still, it doesn’t seem like the legendary center is out to critique James whenever possible. After all, he offered his excitement for James who might surpass his all-time scoring record in the near future.

Like many fans and people who support the Lakers organization, Abdul-Jabbar probably wants to see his old team win another title.

So far, a title seems unlikely as Los Angeles is only 12-12 in the 2021-2022 campaign. That record is only good enough for eighth place in the Western Conference. The team has some chemistry problems on the field.

Hopefully the Lakers can turn the tide as there is still a lot of time to improve.
