Brace yourself, because we’re embarking on another journey through a “Top” list. Hip-hop fans so often get caught up in discussions about who the GOATs are in the genre, and what follows are debates and bickering about lyricism, album sales, influence, impact, longevity — just anything to do with one’s career that could arguably make them the best in the business.

This time, a screenshot of what appears to be Lil Durk’s Instagram story is starting to make its way through social media, and the reactions to the “Top 50 Greatest Rappers of All Time” have stirred the pot.

Right away, Durk didn’t say it was his list, so it’s unclear whether he’s republishing it because he was included or because he’s the person responsible for it. He has a few names that have often found their way onto lists like this, such as Drake, J. Cole, Nipsey Hussle, Nicki Minaj, Future, Lil Baby, Young Thug, 21 Savage, and Juice Wrld.

Others include G Herbo, Megan The Stallion, Lil Uzi Vert, Quando Rondo, Lil Skies, Tee Grizzley, Kodak Black, Chance The Rapper, Blueface, PnB Rock, Roddy Ricch, Migos and more. People commented that Kendrick Lamar didn’t make the cut — and neither did staples like Eminem, Tupac Shakur, and The Notorious BIG — which upset hip-hop fans across the board. Many of these “All-Time” artists are from the same generation and it has sparked quite a bit of discussion.
