Mariah Carey felt emotion when her two young children got cell phones.
The pop diva, 52, was reportedly left furious when her ex-husband Nick Cannon, 41, bought the devices earlier this year for their twins, Moroccan and Monroe, 10.
Cannon claimed Carey didn’t want their kids to have the smartphones for fear they’d Google her or find out about their half-siblings on the internet.
“My oldest twins Roc and Roe wanted a cell phone [age] 8,” Cannon revealed during a preview clip for an upcoming episode of his talk show “Nick Cannon.”
“They have iPads and I was all for it, but Mariah said, ‘Uh uh, they’re not going to Google us. Learning about all their new siblings, no we’re not playing.’”
Cannon has five other children, including four children born to three different women in the past year alone.
The “Feelin’ Freaky” rapper told his talk show audience, “I respected it when I was 8, but then we cut a deal and at 10 a.m. said they could have it. Is 10 a more reasonable age? Mariah said, ‘Uh Uh, new.'”
However, Cannon confessed that he went ahead and bought Moroccan and Monroe’s cell phones without his ex-wife’s permission.
“I still have them cell phones for them” [10th] birthday,” he stated.
“We had a great party with jump jumps, their friends came, it was so amazing. Then it was time to open the presents, I thought, ‘I’m going to leave these here and tell your mom I’m back.’ Mariah is still mad at me to this day.”
He ended the segment by humorously staring into the camera and saying, “Mariah, forgive me!”
While Carey may think her kids are too young to own a cell phone, they are now old enough to be in front of the camera.
In July, 10-year-old Monroe made her modeling debut in a new ad for OshKosh B’Gosh.
The back-to-school campaign, dubbed “Today Is Someday,” featured the youngster channeling her famous old mother, wearing overalls and setting up a storm while singing into a hairbrush.
Meanwhile, Cannon says his two children with Carey may have more half-siblings in the future.
He told Entertainment Tonight earlier this year that it may be “God’s plan” for him to have more than the seven children he already has.
“Think about it, you can’t say, ‘No, I’m done.’ Like what if God says, ‘No, you don’t,'” Cannon told the program.
In addition to Moroccan and Monroe, Cannon is the father of 4-year-old son Golden and 10-month-old daughter Powerful Queen. He shares both children with Miss Guam 2014 pageant winner Brittany Bell, 33.
Meanwhile, the rapper welcomed twins Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir with DJ Abby De La Rosa, 29, on June 14 this year.
Then, just nine days later, on June 23, he fathered his fifth son, Zen, with model Alyssa Scott.
