Microsoft Flight Simulator announces the release of the new Aerosoft CRJ 900/1000

CRJ is available today!

Piloting commuters is most attractive Microsoft Flight Simulator fans who like to fly according to Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) but who have limited time. Commuter flights that operate connections from smaller airports to the major hubs and vice versa are intensive flight in the real world as well as in Microsoft Flight Simulator.

A famous representative of the commuter plane is the Bombardier (today Mitsubishi) CRJ line, which carries 50 to 100 passengers. Originally designed to replace the more uncomfortable and noisy turboprop series in this class, the beautiful, sleek CRJ aircraft were of particular interest to airlines looking to offer a jet-feel on shorter routes.

Their specific design with the engines in the back, low wing and sleek hulls that only allow 2-2 seating arrangements, made them look sporty and feel a bit like the business jets. Their avionics and systems have been leading at the time of development and highly automated to reduce pilots’ workload in the tight schedules and shortest turn-around times.

Pilots like to fly them because they are powerful, agile and a pleasure to fly manually. They also require more flying skills than a modern Airbus or Boeing because the ability to automate the flight is limited. For example, it is not possible to control the flight speed during the flight. In addition, the airports you fly to may require more manual flight due to lack of navigation installation or scenic surroundings.

Microsoft Flight Simulator - New Aerosoft CRJ 900/1000

Aerosoft CRJ 900/1000 to the current one Microsoft Flight Simulator is built on the experience of the developers from the CRJ family offered for FSX and Prepar3D. Still, the new technology available within MSFS allowed all involved developers to use the latest in design, system, and aircraft model programming. Therefore, they were reconstructed from scratch to match the new standard in appearance, function and flight characteristics. This small, advanced passenger plane was created in collaboration with Microsoft and Asobo, ensuring that the new features in the Microsoft Flight Simulator could be implemented.

Below are some additional details and specifications on what Simmers can expect:
