At first glance, New world seems to be a standard MMO experience with craft, combat, and monstrous creatures to kill. But there is a hidden abdomen to the game that players use to get all sorts of unscrupulous benefits. While New world has plenty of in-game PvP options for players to compete regions or duke it out with each other, it has also been shown to have plenty of in-game options to blindside opponents or gain benefits by taking advantage of the game’s many, many flaws . And some of the developer’s Amazon fixes and patches have also resulted in additional player issues.
New world had errors from the beginning; all MMOs do. In the beginning, the game’s biggest problem was queues of players trying to get into the game. Then people noticed that they could make their character invulnerable by minimizing the game screen and dragging it around. Amazon stepped in to fix it for Patch 1.0.4, but new issues had already emerged. These issues varied widely between servers. Some societies had to resort to the barter economy to amass as much wealth as possible during a deflationary process, while other groups found the key to infinite wealth via duping.
Even everyday features like the chat box became unreliable. Fans on New World subreddit reported that other players could post HTML code in the chat to blind them, or even interrupt other people from the game. “You can insert HTML code into the chat to display images or even kick people if they hover over a word,” user janikFIGHT wrote. It is certainly an unscrupulous advantage to use the chat box to send a giant yellow square that covers most of your screen. And even less rude use of the exploit – like sending a giant stock image of sausages – is still an immersion break.
This has put Amazon in a position where it is necessary to fix these bugs, but new patches have the potential to simply add new issues. On October 29, Amazon corrected the bug for image posting, which was intended to make the chat more secure and avoid this kind of disruption. On Monday, the developer posted this message on the MMO’s official forums, which reads:
We are aware of a possible gold duplication exploitation that has been circulating and we are temporarily disabling all forms of transfer of assets between players (ie sending currency, guild cash, trading record, player-to-player trading).
Any player who has engaged in the use of this exploit will be charged.
Once the gold duplication utilization has been investigated and we are ready to re-enable wealth transfer, we will update this post.

But now it seems that this fix paved the way for yet another gold duplication bug where players flocked to the official forums to report the issue. A large proportion of New world upgrades your residence and acts as governor; however, players report that they can start upgrades, see the gold accumulate in their company bank, and then … the upgrade simply does not start, allowing them to collect free gold.
This is in addition to a myriad of other, less game-breaking mistakes like an ax exploit that allows players to solo playoff areas with ease. While some players have fun killing boars and fishing, others play a completely different game where they try to see which elements of New world they can bend or break to their advantage. From there, all the developer can do is try to catch up.
In a forum thread, a developer wrote under the handle Kay: “I am sincere when I say [the glitch is] not funny. We worked really hard to get the changes that addressed the exploits from the closed beta, and to come up with another issue that looks exactly the same, canceling out our work completely. We’ve created this game for all of you, and problems like this, where it seems like we’re ignoring something that we all consider a big issue, make it seem like we do not care. We like a lot. And I’m sorry that’s happening. ”
