One Piece Shares Cover Art for Volume 101

A piece has revealed the album cover for Volume 101 of the manga! Both the anime and manga have hit some huge new milestones this year, with the anime crossing the 1000th episode mark recently and the manga breaking the 1000th chapter mark much earlier this year. The physical releases of the manga have reached their own impressive milestone, having crossed the 100 volume mark with the previous release of the series, and now the 101st volume of the manga is poised to hit its shelves in Japan with a cover. which is sure to grab the attention of the fans.

Volume 101 of the manga is now on shelves in Japan, giving fans a glimpse into the intense cover art for the release featuring the last members of the Straw Hats. The 99, 100 and 101 volumes of the manga had a special spread across all three covers celebrating the 1000 chapter milestone with art that featured all the straw hats alongside Big Mom and Kaido. This time it’s Kaido’s turn with a cool look at Brook, Nami and Franky. You can check it out below from the manga’s official Twitter account:

It will be a while before Volume 101 gets an official release outside of Japan, but at least fans can check out the cool cover images ahead of time. The big reveal, of course, is the full in-color look for Kaido’s Hybrid Beast Man form, and it’s a good indication of how intense it’s gotten on Onigashima in the manga since these particular chapters. The current series of the series is heading towards the pinnacle of this great war, so more intense things are on the way.

As Eiichiro Oda’s original manga series continues to make its way well beyond the confines of that 1000th chapter, fans are beginning to wonder what might come next after the battle for Wano. There’s a good idea of ​​where with the upcoming One Piece Film: Red coming next year and teasing a major role for Red-Haired Shanks, but it certainly gives a preview of what else could be coming for the series in 2022.
