Pete Davidson skipped “Saturday Night Live” to go on a date with Kim Kardashian as the NBC show faces an unprecedented COVID-19 outbreak.
The 28-year-old comedian and 41-year-old reality star were spotted going to the movies together on Staten Island on Saturday night.
They arrived at the theater around 7pm, but it’s unclear which movie they saw.
Scott Disick, Disick’s boyfriend Chris Reda and another man were also with Davidson and Kardashian, according to a source.
Earlier in the afternoon, Davidson was spotted entering a Manhattan hotel where Kardashian is currently staying.
He arrived there with Disick around 6pm, sparking speculation that he wouldn’t be attending rehearsals for “SNL,” which usually take place around 8pm.
Kardashian’s SUV was then spotted leaving the hotel around 6:20 p.m. and heading toward Staten Island.
The Post learned Saturday afternoon that “SNL” was about to cancel tonight’s final episode of the 2021 season of the iconic sketch show — hosted by Paul Rudd with musical guest Charli XCX — due to an internal outbreak of positive COVID-19 cases. after a regular insider told us that “four actors” tested positive — and yelled “three others” because they were “afraid” to come to NBC Studios at 30 Rockefeller Center.
A source said the “show should go on, but don’t expect to see Colin Jost, Sarah Sherman or (Aristotle) Athari.”
An insider told The Post that legendary “SNL” alumnus Tina Fey was in talks to “fill in” her old “Weekend Update” chair for Jost.
In addition, Charli XCX officially let her performance down by saying she was “devastated and heartbroken” by the turn of events.
