Pete Davidson Jokes About Being An ‘S— Date’ While Revealing His Dating Deal Breaker

Pete Davidson knows his strengths and weaknesses when it comes to dating.

While performing on iHeartMedia’s River cafe table 4 podcast Tuesday, the 28-year-old Saturday Night Live star opened up about his first date preferences, saying that he likes taking women out for dinner to restaurants or to the movies.

“Yeah, it’s also like going to a great restaurant and even if I’m an s— date it’s like at least the food was great,” he joked. “So, she could go home and say, ‘Well, … you paid and I ate.’ But hey, I always thought it was, or a movie is so easy because in a movie you don’t even have to talk. You could just say, ‘Hey, explosion. Did you see that explosion?’ They would say, ‘Yes!’ You know? Or you can just laugh at the same thing and look at each other for a moment.”

But Davidson said that while he certainly hasn’t mastered how to be the perfect date, he’s also on the lookout for red flags. The comedian said he would end a date “immediately” if someone was rude to a waiter.

“In my head I’d think ‘Okay never’ [again]. This is it,’ he said. “I don’t like the ‘excuse me.’ It’s like, just wait for the guy to walk by.”

As his star power has increased, Davidson’s love life has become a topic of interest. In addition to his brief 2018 engagement to Ariana Grande, 27, and his former romance with Kaia Gerber, 19, he has previously dated fellow comedian Carly Aquilino, Larry David’s daughter Cazzie David, actress Margaret Qualley, Kate Beckinsale and Phoebe Dynevor.

Most recently, Davidson made headlines for his rumors of a romance with Kim Kardashian West. After sharing a kiss on the screen during a SNL sketch last month, the couple were spotted holding hands while riding a roller coaster at Knott’s Scary Farm in Buena Park, California.

PEOPLE then confirmed that Davidson and Kardashian West, 41, dined together privately on Staten Island just days later. They were also later seen entering the private club Zero Bond in NYC separately.
