Minor Real Housewives of Miami season 4 spoilers to follow.
Adriana de Moura spoke to digital spy about the return of The Real Housewives of Miami after eight years off the air.
The cult classic Real housewives franchise is back with Hayu in the UK and Peacock in the US, thanks in no small part to a passionate fan base that has never stopped campaigning over the years for executive producer Andy Cohen for his return.
This week, fans finally got what they’ve been waiting for almost ten years Real Housewives of Miami dropped the first two episodes of a brand new season — and the show hasn’t missed a beat.
We recently talked to Adriana de Moura about everything Real Housewives of Miami, including how important the fan campaign has been to a revival.
“I am so grateful to the fans, for the loyalty, for expressing their” [their support] and because she was so vocal, extremely grateful,” she told us. ‘Andy [Cohen, producer] has always loved Miami. It wasn’t really Andy who canceled the show [in 2013]. He wasn’t… that wasn’t his only decision.
“Andy is one of the biggest supporters of many. I’m glad we’re back. Andy is happy we’re back.”
The first episode of season four, ‘¡Bienvenidos! Same Beaches, New Shade’ opens with words from the late wonderful Mama Elsa, followed by the returning OG cast members reuniting for a lively lunch.
“It felt so good,” Adriana recalled from the cast lunch. “It was like a reunion of old friends. It felt great. It was great to be in front of the camera with them again. We’ve stayed friends over the years, through funerals, divorces, everything.
“It was great to be back. It actually felt great.”
While RHOM puts a ton of celebratory nostalgia into its cast along with some exciting newcomers, Adriana doesn’t necessarily support the idea of other legacy cast members – Joanna Krupa or Lea Black, to name two – coming back in the future.
“The main OGs are here,” she said. “Alexia, myself, Marysol, Lisa Hochstein. The four of us are pretty much the core of Miami. I think we’re good in terms of OG representation.”
The Real Housewives of Miami season four is now available to stream Hi and Peacock, with new episodes premiering weekly.
