Sarfaraz Ahmed becomes the most successful Pakistani captain

KARACHI: Former Pakistan cricket team captain Sarfaraz Ahmed has become the most successful captain in the country’s T20 format.

With his Sindh team’s latest victory in the current T20 National Cup, Sarfaraz surpassed the experienced Shoaib Malik to become the most successful captain in the shorter format.

He has won 86 matches out of 140 with a winning percentage of 61.4 followed by Shoaib’s 63.9%.

It should be noted here that Sarfaraz led Pakistan to the Champions Trophy triumph in 2017. Furthermore, under his captaincy, Pakistan won the record of 11 T20I series consecutively. He was also captain of the Pakistan team that won the ICC U19 World Cup in 2006.
