Semi-finals preview, betting, where to watch

We have reached the commercial finale of the Limerick SHC when the top four hurling teams meet in the semi-finals.

Both Limerick semi-finals will be broadcast live on Limerick GAA TV, along with Sporting Limerick’s partner Stream Sport Ireland.

The last four teams this year exactly match last year’s. Don and Na Piarsaigh were the two winners who ended up contesting the final.

Last year’s finalists also automatically qualified for the penultimate round after finishing top of their groups in the previous stage. Instead, Kilmallock and Patrickswell took a much more difficult path to the semi-finals.

Kilmallock only beat the South Liberties by four points in an exciting, high-scoring encounter at the Gaelic Grounds last Sunday. The game ended with a surprising score of 1-33 to 5-17 for Kilmallock.

Patrickswell’s game wasn’t nearly as bumpy, but even better as they edged Adare 0-20 to 0-18.

It will be interesting to see if the extra week of pitches will have tired the teams or given them much-needed courage.
