Sheldon Keefe Jack Campbell COVID-19 Protocols

After handling a COVID-19 outburst, the Toronto Maple Leafs got some good news on Tuesday as head coach Sheldon Keefe as well as a handful of players, including the goalkeeper Jack Campbell, was out of minutes and back to training.

Defenders Travis Dermott and TJ Brodie also returned to practice after being placed in COVID-19 protocols on December 18th.

In addition, defender Kristiāns Rubīns has been assigned to the taxi team from the AHL’s Toronto Marlies while attacking. Brett Seney and Alex Steeves and goalkeeper Joseph Woll has been lent to Marlies.

Here are the players who participated in the training on Tuesday:

Forwards: Anderson, Bunting, Clifford, Engvall, Kaše, Kerfoot, Marner, Matthews, Ritchie, Simmonds, Spezza, Tavares

Defenders: Biega, Brodie, Dahlström, Dermott, Holl, Král, Liljegren, Rubīns

Goalkeepers: Campbell, Scott

The Leafs’ next game is scheduled for New Year’s Day against the Ottawa Senators in Toronto.

Toronto has been suspended six games in a row due to COVID-19.
