Portugal manager Fernando Santos has advised Man United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to always play Cristiano Ronaldo in the starting eleven.
Recall that Ronaldo, 36, was named in the call for the day, but was left out of the starting eleven for the first time since he returned to Old Trafford when Everton called him last Saturday.
Santos stressed that Ronaldo’s “pace” is of the utmost importance, as he explained why he is likely to play Qatar despite the match being only a friendly.

“He will go to the game because he needs time to play. It’s important for him at this stage, ”Santos said of Ronaldo on Friday.
“The last full game he played was in the Champions League. If you only play against Luxembourg, you will have practically 15 days without playing hard.
“At this point, I will say that there is a great chance that Ronaldo will go into the game against Qatar, either starting or coming in later during the second half, so that the competitive paces are maxed out against Luxembourg.”
