“Not mine, no,” wrote the 29-year-old MTV star, adding: “Some of you are curious and some of you are really mad about this. Know that my kids can’t live without it. Just do it with their dads.” .”
When someone asked for more details as to why she doesn’t get presents for her kids, Kailyn explained, “I’ve been over this many times, but I got tired of fighting [with] the fathers [about] it and gave up.”
“Every time I got the kids for Christmas, my other relatives were in opposite years with their families/kids and we started big holidays about 5 years ago,” she continued. “So Christmas can be with their dads and they don’t have to worry about splitting.”
Kailyn said her kids “look forward to our family vacation every year”, adding: “My kids don’t want or need to” [sic] everything and I am grateful for that. Maybe one day we’ll celebrate without gifts on another day.”
Last November, Kailyn revealed she was spending the holidays alone with her and co-host Lindsie Chrisley‘s Coffee with you podcasting. At the time, Lindsie asked if the… teen mom star went to exchange gifts with her children.
“We’re not doing anything,” Kailyn replied. “I’m just not going to have them. So they don’t have to give each other stuff… I could ask them, ‘Do they want to get something done for Christmas?’ And if they say yes, then of course I would just facilitate that.”
While Lindsie said she understood Kailyn’s decision, she also admitted she would be “devastated” by the arrangement.
“It’s a bit sad, and I get that. I definitely get that,” Kailyn explained. “I just feel like it’s a lot. And the amount I spent on Christmas gifts and then I only got them for half the day and then I had to share.”
She added: “I can’t go to my family because my family, Jo’s family and Javi’s family are all in different areas and when we added Chris to the mix.”
According to Kailyn, there was “so much going on” and she felt like there weren’t going to be “three happy father situations.”
