The chamber is here along with five-stack changes

After being hit with a two-week delay, Valorant’s latest agent ‘Chamber’ is finally here with patch 3.10. Riot has also reactivated five-stacking, but there are new conditions in place that will affect how much ranking you will earn or lose depending on your results as a group. There are no balance changes for agents and weapons in Valorant patch 3.10, but the introduction of Chamber should shake up the ranked meta.

Valorant patch notes 3.10: Chamber

Chamber is a Sentinel that is able to hold places down on its own. His entire set is designed around creating weapons with his abilities and also slowing down the enemies with Trademark (C) and Tour de Force (X). He also has his Rendezvous ability to help him move by using his teleportation anchors. The ability seems flexible as he can pick up the anchors and relocate them instead of consuming a capacity charge.

(C) Trademark

Chamber places a trap that scans for enemies. When a visible enemy comes within range, the trap counts down and then destabilizes the terrain around them, creating a long-lasting field that slows down players trapped inside it.

(Q) Headhunter

The chamber equips a heavy pistol. Players can shoot anything with the gun equipped to aim down.

(E) Appointment

The chamber places two teleport anchors. While on the ground and within range of one anchor, players can reactivate the ability to quickly teleport to the other anchor. Anchors can be picked up to be relocated.

(X) Tour de Force

Chamber summons a powerful, custom sniper rifle that will kill an enemy with any direct hit. Killing an enemy creates a long-lasting field that slows down players trapped inside it.

Assessment of patch notes 3.10: Competitive cows

In an effort to reduce smurfing, the Riot Games removes all ranked restrictions from five-stack games in the Competitive Queue. Riot has shown that the most common reason players gamble is that they want to play with their friends outside the bounds of Valorant’s current ranked restrictions. Removing these 5-stack limits specifically means you can play with your friends regardless of the restrictions that exist for smaller game sizes in Competitive Queue.

If everyone in your group is Diamond 2 and below:

You can expect increased queue times as Valorant will only match your team against another five stacks of similar average MMR.

Rank Rating (RR) gains and losses will be reduced when you play in a 5 stack outside our current rank restriction rules. The amount that your RR adjusts depends on the rank difference in the group.

If one or more members of your group are Diamond 3 and above:

Your expected queue times can vary widely and can increase dramatically as you will have to wait indefinitely for another 5-stack of similar MMRs to play against.

As a minimum, a 50% RR reduction will be applied to all 5 stacks including one member from these ranks, and this amount can increase to 90% as the skill difference increases.

If one or more members of your group are Radiant:

Similar to the Diamond 3-plus, you will have to wait indefinitely for another 5-stack similar MMR to play against, potentially drastically increasing your queue times.

As a minimum, a 75% RR reduction will be applied to all 5 stacks including one member from these ranks. Playing with a player under Radiant automatically reduces your potential RR by 90%.
