The NHL postponed the Red Wings Islanders game, will restructure nine others

NEW YORK – The National Hockey League announced today that due to COVID-related issues affecting both clubs, tomorrow’s Detroit Red Wings vs. New York Islanders game has been postponed:

Wednesday the 29th of December
Detroit @ New York Islanders

In addition, the NHL announced that due to current restrictions on participation in certain Canadian cities, nine additional games will be rescheduled to dates later in the season where such restrictions may be relaxed or lifted:

Friday, December 31st
Pittsburgh @ Ottawa
Winnipeg @ Calgary

Monday, January 3rd
Carolina @ Toronto

Tuesday, January 4th
Washington @ Montreal

Thursday, January 6th
Toronto @ Montreal

Saturday, January 8th
Buffalo @ Montreal
Seattle @ Winnipeg

Monday, January 10th
Columbus @ Montreal
Minnesota @ Winnipeg

Make-up dates for the games have not yet been set.

In addition, the match between Boston and Montreal on Wednesday, January 12 at the Bell Center will now be played at TD Garden in Boston, MA. A refresher date for the Montreal Canadiens’ home game against the Boston Bruins will be announced at a later date.
