The Outsiders – Features content from my favorite sports blogs every Monday

Before we begin, I want to tell everyone about an update from The Outsiders category. I’m still perfecting it, but this will be a weekly post coming out on Monday nights, hopefully around 7: 30-8: 00 PM ET; I’m obviously a little late this time, but what can I say? Life gets in the way (and that’s not bad). I am using this category as a way to motivate myself to post each week and encourage other sports bloggers to do the same. By highlighting articles from other blogs, it forces me to educate myself on the cool things other people are doing and can help me improve my own blog in the future. Those featured also receive a free link to their article as a token of my respect and appreciation for their enthusiasm for sharing their thoughts on sports (and more).

On that note, let’s talk about the only blog that went up this week: Dapper Sports. These guys are always on top of their game, always providing great content, and their dedication has paid off in page views for the past two weeks.

The categories of their blogs describe them perfectly: fantasy, sports, fashion and lifestyle. The “Dapper” half of his brand covers fashion and lifestyle (and sometimes fantasy). They have provided Bachelor fans with cheat sheets to aid in the fantasy league that accompanies the show. Take a look at their “Bachelor Fantasy League Week 6 Cheat Sheet” for a closer look at what it’s all about.

The “Sports” half of their brand covers Fantasy and, well, Sports. Due to recent success, Dapper Sports has focused on The Bachelor. However, they created a fun little bingo game to play during the Superbowl. When they are not writing about sports, they are very active on Twitter when the games are on. So be sure to follow @dapper_sports on Twitter and you can also find them on Facebook.

If you’d like to appear in next Monday’s issue of The Outsiders, please submit your article here for consideration. You can also text us on Twitter @AbstractSports, or send us a message on Facebook. I look forward to reading your presentations!
