Stefano Pioli was hired by AC Milan on this day in 2019 and it has been quite a journey for the Rossoneri ever since. From what was a low point to their best spell since the Scudetto season ten years ago.
The manager’s contract expires next summer and as things stand, he certainly deserves an extension. He’s been asked quite a bit on the matter lately, but he’s always been very adept at dribbling the questions.
As reported by Calciomercato.com, Pioli knows that his future at Milan is not in question, just as he doesn’t feel the relationship has a deadline. He is more and more a leading star of this project and the results can be seen.
Milan are in no rush to extend the contract and they also have a clause allowing them to extend the contract until 2023. That said, it is also possible that the parties will sit down and extend until 2024, with an adjustment to the €2 million salary.
