Total SF Book Club Presents “Why We Swim” With Bonnie Tsui

Total SF Celebrates Reading and Swimming at a San Francisco Public Library Live/Virtual Event

Peter Hartlaub and Heather Knight of the San Francisco Chronicle chose “Why We Swim,” Bonnie Tsui’s love letter to the sea and her exploration of humanity’s relationship with water, as the third selection for the Total SF Book Club.

Knight and Hartlaub will host Tsui on the Total SF podcast, swim with the author, and will once again team up with Nick Petrulakis to create an official cocktail for the book. But the centerpiece is the free event for the book. This will be the first live Total SF Book Club event at the headquarters of the San Francisco Public Library, with a virtual option as well. Book here for both.

The Total SF Book Club is a celebration of libraries, independent bookstores and San Francisco, in partnership with the San Francisco Public Library and Green Apple Books. Previous books have included “Home Baked” and “The End of the Golden Gate,” which featured live events featuring Alia Volz, Daniel Handler and Gary Kamiya.
