Former President Donald Trump accidentally hit a child on the head with a baseball during the World Series on Saturday, video footage shows.
The former president sat in an open-air suite with his wife, Melania Trump, at the Atlanta Braves and Houston Astros game at Truist Park in Atlanta, Georgia.
A clip from that night, shared on TikTok by user @loupastore27, shows a young fan throwing his baseball at Trump in hopes of getting it signed.
The former president catches the ball, the video shows, and asks a Secret Service agent for a pen. After signing baseball, Trump tries to throw it back to his young fans.
The video captures the moment the former president throws the ball back and pings the youngster on the head.
According to TMZ, the boy was not injured.
The young fan could make some money off the signed ball, should he choose to sell it. Authentic Trump-signed baseballs sell for between $2,000 and £3,000, according to TMZ Sports.
The former president previously boasted of his baseball skills, writing in 2004, “I had to become a professional baseball player. At the New York Military Academy, I was the captain of the baseball team. I worked hard like everyone else, but I had good talents.”
In 2013, Slate reported that he had tweeted that he was “the best BBC player in NYState”.
