Villanova vs Temple match has been postponed

CBS reporter and podcaster Matt Norlander reports that Villanova #22’s match against Temple on Wednesday is unlikely to take place due to positive cases of coronavirus in the North Philly program. This has been confirmed by Villanova and Temple

The match, scheduled to be played at Finneran Pavilion and broadcast on FS1, would be Villanova’s last game of the 2021 calendar year, as well as the last non-conference game of the 2022 regular season.

Jay Wright also sought eight straight wins against the Owls, claiming an outright Big 5 title for the seventh time in eight seasons.

Odds by DraftKings were not posted for this game but will be posted for many upcoming Bowl Games, NBA and NFL games. Many, if not all, of those games can be viewed on FuboTV.

Neither the Villanova nor the Temple programs have confirmed that the game will go ahead. A provision for forfeiture, rescheduling or cancellation has not been established.

Villanova noted:

The two programs will attempt to reschedule the match for another date. If the match is rescheduled, tickets already purchased will be honored on the new date.
